Revd Roy Turner’s Retirement

Roy is retiring in March, after 11 years of faithful service to our Parishes of Stonesfield and Combe. His last church services, in both Stonesfield and Combe, will be on Sunday 15th March.

To mark this, there will be a special service of Evensong on Sunday 1st March at 6pm at St Laurence Church, Combe, attended by the Bishop of Dorchester, Bishop Colin. Everyone, from both villages, is most warmly invited to come.

In addition, there will be a farewell tea on Saturday 14th March, between 4pm and 6pm at the St James’ Centre, Stonesfield. This will provide a more informal opportunity to say goodbye to Roy and Bev, to thank them for all they have done, and to wish them a joyful retirement.  Do join us!

Arrangements will be in place for the running of the Church, the services and pastoral support of the village during the period before a new person arrives – further details in due course!
