Suggestions for Lent

  • Morning Prayer at Combe: fortnightly at Wednesdays at 11am from, Ash Wednesday onwards.  At each service we will be reflecting on a different aspect of the Psalms.
  • Online Lent course: we are invited to join Woodstock and Bladon with their reflections for Lent, called ‘The Sounds before the Cross’, led by the Rt Revd Dr Bob Gillies, retired Bishop of Aberdeen. Held on Zoom, every Wednesday 7.30pm. Go to for more information and to book.
  • Lent Study brochure from Embrace the Middle East (charity supporting Christians in very vulnerable situations): course with daily readings and weekly discussion suggestions, taking us into lives in Gaza, Iraq, the Lebanon, Egypt and opening our eyes to other Christian communities and traditions. New Rector for Stonesfield and Combe

We are much looking forward to welcoming the Rev Ralph Williamson as the next Rector of the Benefice of Stonesfield and Combe.  Ralph will move to Stonesfield and Combe in April/May 2021 and will be licensed on Saturday 1st May.  Ralph is currently vicar of a busy city church in Westminster, and was previously college chaplain at Christ Church, Oxford and a team vicar in rural Herefordshire.
